Collaborative On-line Resources in Education (CORE) is ...
a supplemental path used to differentiate instruction and support our students. One of our primary goals as educators is to encourage our students to become independent and responsible learners.
Our vision of an online learning community is to create a site by teachers for students’ use both in school and at home. This site provides access to materials to be used for:
classes at Tenafly High School, most of which are or have been supported by a Special Education teacher. These materials include: class notes, study guides, handouts, model assignments/projects, and researched/created supplemental resources to provide instruction in varying formats.
planning of the future, descriptions of the options available and vital informational links for each.
parents which will provide a valuable link between the school and the home. This information and internet links will help answer questions regarding the future and success of their child.
students which will provide valuable information and internet links to help answer questions regarding their education and understanding their future in relation to their disability.
the future of Special Education around the world and here at THS.
teachers which will provide information, strategies and tips for working with special education students.
By using this site, people will be provided with learning experiences and opportunities in which they can acquire and apply knowledge and skills, hands-on activities and experiential learning. This site is tailored to increase student motivation, student self-awareness, and provide parents and teachers alike with a place of gathered resources.
Students Using this Site
Click on the appropriate subject area on the left to find your class. Under each class are lists of topics which provide links to materials used in that class. These links will open documents or websites in new windows where you will then be able to research materials or print.
